I got to design a really fun show July 2015 for E4 - it was a comedy Sketch show Pilot called "Top 5".

Each Ep would be topical and based on celebrity mishaps counting down the "Top 5". So for example - our pilot was based on "the Top 5 celebrity Splits". Covering Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin, Rpatz, Miley Cyrus, One Direction and a range of other famous faces.

I LOVE designing the costumes on comedy-based shows like this - especially Sketch shows. It’s fast past, with a high turn around. You need to find the funny in the characters your designing and exaggerate it. Allow the audience to quickly read who it is and immediately find the funny (well that’s the plan anyway). Its giving the actors something to work with, to help portray the person they are putting across.

I worked with the producers, Make Up Designer and director to establish where we were heading with the looks, and then it was down to me, the make-up designer, and obviously our amazing teams to create them.

As I said it was lots of fun and we worked we an amazing crew and cast including the amazing Beattie Edmondson daughter of the fab Jennifer Saunders.

So last month we wrapped up on a new show called Virtually Famous for E4. We had the pleasure of styling the wonderful Kevin Mchale from Glee, the lovely Chris Stark from Radio 1 fame & the Hilarious Seann Walsh. (there are a couple of sneaky pics below).

"Virtually Famous is a British television panel show produced by Talkback and presented by Kevin McHale. The programme made its debut on E4 on 21 July 2014. In each episode two teams of three compete and they are captained Chris Stark and Seann Walsh. The questions and tasks are about things on the internet."

Seann has quite a strong sense of style and wore some classic looks for The Kooples. Chris was very happy for us to have a play and perhaps put him some things that he wouldn’t of considered before… Obviously I’m very pleased to say he loved all the looks we put together (phew!)

Kevin was an utter joy to style as he knew what he liked but also was always willing to try something one before casting judgment.. (Although there was one shirt from a certain designer that shall never see the light of day again! Eeeek HORRID!) as we all know some things can look very different on the body, rather than on a hanger!

We wanted to get a good blend of designer meets high-street, casual meets smart! Basically showing off how wonderful Kevin can look in practically anything!

So from the high-street we had some pieces from Topman, Zara, COS & River Island. Mixing those up with some higher end names such as Sixpack France ( from their Fall 2014 collection), Paul Smith and a couple of others..

We absolutely adored working on the show and we hope you all enjoy watching it.. heres to series 2 (fingers crossed)

On "Meet The Parents" I got to work with and style the lovely Alex Zane! We had some great tee's featured in the show.. a couple from Johnny Cupcakes.. one of which was a really cute black fitted tee with this ginormous boy in dungarees on the front eating a cupcake.. really striking design.. looked pretty good with Alex's trademark fitted suit. Go check out their online store and they have a cute store on Carnaby Street in town. Worth a visit just to take a look!

We also had a Tee shirt from "The House Of Gods" which was probably my favourite as it had a stylised retro design on the front of a 80's pin ball machine in bold reds and greys.. what i loved the most about this one was that the motif ran from neck to navel. I do blieve they have a concession in Topsh
